Let's look inside the bag...

This week a group of us visited the new yarn shop in Wichita-- Twist (http://www.twistyarnshop.com/). Everything is sooooo amazing! I ended up buying myself a new knitting bag that's plenty big that I only have to take one bag to work with me, instead of a knitting bag + my purse.

The bag is so well designed with pockets and zippers that I currently have 3 projects inside: a scarf made from bamboo boucle (which is awful to work with but so soft and pretty worked up),

my socks that I've been delaying because I'm so nervous about the heel,

and my newest project Interweave's Motorcycle Chica Gloves.

I'm pretty sure that all of my spare money will be used to help support Twist and my yarn habit, since they have such amazing yarn that you can't necessarily find anywhere else in town.

Finishing Frenzy!

So the last couple of weeks I got into a finishing frenzy--you know, all that stuff that you have laying around that you get so near the end and then....ugh...you just want to be done with it!!

So I took the time from my other in-process projects (I know, you'd think I'd finish those up first!!) to finish up a verigated shrug that I started long ago from a Lion Brand pattern, as well as a small tote from the Stitch N Bitch desk calendar.

The sweater I was under extra pressure to get it done because I want to get it sent off to Brook before school starts because it'll be the perfect size for her (alas, it was supposed to be for me, but I faild to swatch).
The bag is the perfect size for a little project like socks or something. Very cute and amazingly easy--start the four sides separately and then join them to knit in the round. I really like the corners!
